My name is Andrew Squitiro. I write poetry. I study critical theory. I teach literature and creative writing.

I contributed to a running feature of poems I love for National Poetry Month. You can read them at Luna Luna Mag.

I have poems forthcoming in The Moth, The Unrorean, and the debut of SOFIA.

I read with the novelist, Joe Meno, among other writers at The Book Cellar in Chicago on April 5th of this year.

My poem, "Montessori," is published in the March 2014 edition of [PANK] magazine.

My poem, "Cardinals," was published by The Fat City Review in January of 2014.

I have reviews of contemporary poetry up on The Volta.

I was a teaching assistant for the poet Tim Seibles in the Fall of 2013.

I graduate with an MFA in Creative Writing from Old Dominion University in May of 2015.

I edit poetry for both Green Briar Review and Barely South Review.

I have a poem in the 2013 print publication of Bluestem Magazine.

I graduated with a B.A. in English with departmental honors from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 2012.

In 2009, I was an intern for Persea Books, where I read for general submissions and the Lexi Rudnitsky Poetry Prize.
